He made it and He will put it away when he is finished with it.
Hebrews 1 (NLT) Jesus Christ Is God’s Son
1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son.
*** The voice of God could be heard for four thousand years coming from His servants the Prophets but now His Son is speaking to us and it is so much more clear and direct. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. When God promised Everything to the son it means everything. All of creation that we can see and all that we cannot see. This includes the earth we are standing upon. This include those who will surrender themselves to Him.
3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.
***The Son is the direct and full expression of who God the father is and it was His voice that spoke at creation “Let There Be” and it is that same word that endure until today which keeps everything in place When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.
*** He was already God and already owner and heir to everything and yet He put that aside in order to come find us when we had become lost. Because he did this He is seated forever at the fathers side as a tribute to Him for what He has done voluntarily. Never mistake Jesus for an Angel for God has given Him the name of “Lord” which is exalted far above the positions and names of any angels.
5 For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” God also said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”
***No angel has ever nor ever will receive the glory that God has reserved for His Son
6 And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, “Let all of God’s angels worship him.” 7 Regarding the angels, he says, “He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire.”
*** The Angels are commanded to worship the Son and their position is one of service before the Lord
8 But to the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. 9 You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”
*** The Father declare the Son to be God and His ruler ship over everything will be eternal. He is not only the Loving savior on the Donkeys Colt who willingly laid down His life for us, He is also the eternal and just judge who will rule without dissention.
10 He also says to the Son, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.
***The father reaffirms the Sons role in the creation of all things
11 They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. 12 You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever.”
***You made it and You will put it away when the time comes with the ease of one putting away His cloths. Even though these things will wear out and be removed the Son will remain forever.
13 And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”
***Wait a moment, there are enemies? Oh yes remember we who surrender to Him and call Him Lord willingly are part of His inheritance. Those who do not are the ones being referred to here. The promise made to humble these enemies is made to the Son alone.
14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.
***Angels are Gods servants who have the duty of caring for those who are Jesus inheritance.
***These themes are repeated in the scriptures both old and new testament. Here are some examples:
Colossians 1:15-17 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
Psalm 2:7-9 The king proclaims the Lord’s decree: “The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father. Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession
